Peace, Love & Quilt - April OMG Completed

Having this one done is such an accomplishment! Again, keeping in mind that this quilt is created as a controversial political quilt, I am only showing a portion to deter hate mail and political arguments. I love my quilting community friends and love all we have to share with each other!

For the center of the quilt, I straight line quilted around the stars and did a meandering path through out the heart. I'm still struggling with this. I have lots of eyelashing and broken threads through out- but I am not going to give up! I will keep trying this free-motion technique until I am happy with the results! The rest of the quilt has wavy-line quilting. The recipient is overjoyed with it!

Patriotic OMG - April 2019

My goal for April's OMG with Elm Street Quilts is a Patriotic/Political quilt made by a request. The pattern I used to create the quilt is a free pattern created by The Fat Quarter Shop to commemorate My favorite day of the year - Worldwide Quilting Day. The pattern is called Piece, Love & Quilting.

I modified the pattern to add quite a bit of border to allow for wording, I've chosen not to show that portion to deter hate mail and a political argument with all my quilting friends. This is my "happy time" when I share with the quilty world.

My goal for this quilt is to have it pinned with in the week, quilted and binding added by the end of the month. I've decided to have a play on the words for the name of it: "Piece, Love & Quilt" to Peace, Love & Quilt- I've named this one "Controversy".
