Virtual Christmas Cookie Exchange!

It’s a Cookie Exchange! Time Flies and we meet again!

I found the cutest/funniest, seriously most trendy sugar cookie kit this week at the market. Dolly is it in social media right now. Which of my cookie baking, quilt-loving friend would purchase this?

How about this fun, kid-friendly Christmas treat? Is it a cookie? Is it a candy?

Crush the mini candy canes… not as easy as it would seem. We got big ol’ chunks and some dust. We still went with it!

Melt the chocolate discs and try not to take a taste.

Line up the pretzels, dip and coat.

Famous last words from my granddaughter, “Pinterest makes this looks so easy!” Sigh, mess every where! We had a good time.

Lesson learned, but the pre-crumbled peppermint, preferably the chocolate form 😊

And some gorgeous little stitched out cookie mats will be perfect for these! All we need is a cup of milk!

Turkey Trot Blog Hop

Well I must say the Turkey Trotted right along without me this morning! I had full intention of having this out at 6 am for all you Eastern Time early risers! Alas, Life happens and sometimes without us.

Look at a couple of the gorgeous vintage shop finds. I don't always make a purchase because having the photo is much more valuable and doesn't clutter up my space.

We surely all should count each and every blessing we've received, right down to the privilege of writing each word we share with each other. You all are one of my blessings, and I thank you for sharing part of your day with me!

Looking at this cute little recipe book. I'm not quite sure rooster is what I'd be cooking right now...How 'bout some turkey you all!

And for my sweet little project! I made this fluffy Soft Turkey hat for my little Grand. I love her so much!

It is applique/embroidery mix and one of my favorite techniques. The wash away stabilizer is used to keep the stitching from sinking into the loft. The hat pattern can be found at Crafty Gemini on YouTube

Monster Mash Blog Hop

Welcome Back to Monster Mash Blog Hop Day 2!

Come join us for some spooky fun, monsters included! Here's what I stitched up! Two sweet little kitchen voodoos. Any thing to oversee the cooking to whip up some delicious baking and cooking!

I normally throw all the snips and string clippings into a small container and used them up to stuff the dollies. It gives them a bit more stiffness but that isn't something that really bothers me as they are just for looking at.

My husband and I also did a little vintage shop hop. And look at some of these cuties!

The cat basket HAD to come home with me! And look at how adorable a collection of fabrics rolls looks in it just waiting for me to dive into them!

And to join in the latest craze, I had a ghostie photo shoot with my favorite person, my sister. We had a blast! You all should do this just because it brings all the sillies out!

It's A Dog's Life

Lots of sharing, showing off our beautiful little dogs (and cats) and enjoying each other's company! This happens when Joan of Moosestash Quilting and Carol of Just Let Me Quilt challenge us to stitch up something for Sew It - Show It!

September's challenge is hosted by Carol - This month Carol prompted "It's A Dog's Life" - How true is that? We all love our little furry friends and they pretty much boss us around. (The alternative challenge was to think vintage - I'm thinking Dick, Jane & Spot. I taught my baby brother to read with those books!

This month, I found a cute embroidery pattern and stitched it onto a coaster to gift to a sweet friend my husband and I just met. They have a new dog too! Sugar-bear... The stitch out is in honor of their newest family member.
