Traveling Part 2

The community of Cliffside, NC offers a good afternoon of 'barn quilt' sight seeing. You can read more about the Rutherford County town at Remember Cliffside.

The fire hall

A medical office

An Art Center!

Just so much fun to drive around and see these darlings!

Enjoy the tour of this little community!

Traveling

Work always calls me away from home. I usually take my sewing machine with me in the camper or to the hotel. Sewing is at a bare minimum, but I do get in a few stitches here and there.

The bonus, I get to see some fun sights along the way. How about a couple of barn quilts?

This one was on the side of a ball park building in a little North Carolina Community~

These two were on the Public School Building.

And this one one the local EMS building.

It appears the community has rallied together and most businesses sport a fantastic "barn quilt" on their exterior.

More to come! I will reveal the location soon!

Have safe travels if traveling and a blessed day!

Learning Something New to Me!

Needing to get a finish for February! I think these will  be the perfect project to get started! I am quite looking forward to piecing together a Dresden. I hope to get enough done for a full quilt. Wish me much sewing success!

January Finish

Linking up with Patty at Elm Street Quilts for a quick January OMG finish.

The baby changing pads and burp cloths are complete. I believe there is a great need for many more!

On a side note, I am moving back into my home after working in another state for four years! Exhausting is the least I can say about it. Although!!! I am back  in my home and I am blessed to visit our local charity sewing group each week. We sew for community fire victims and the Ronald McDonald House.

Of course there is "sew and tell". This week Ms. Macel brought in a Dresden Quilt her grandmother made. It was unique and so lovely!

Baby - Oh Baby! OMG

I have baby on the mind, I will be stitching up some burp pads and changing pads for my end of the month goal~

Christmas Memories by Cranston Print Works

The Christmas Memories Panel was designed to be a fabric book of mini poems celebrating Christmas.

The poems really speak for themselves. I need not add words. Although, I do want to add fabrics to create a loving Christmas Treasure Quilt to read each year with my wee-ones.

I've trimmed all of the books panels at 9 1/2" x 13" rectangles and gathering ides how to piece them together. Possibly 2 1/2" scrappy red and white squares? What are your ideas?

In the meantime, enjoy the memories!

And be sure to visit Jennifer at The Inquiring Quilter and Link up your progress and finishing at her Wednesday Wait Loss.
