In addition to all of the other projects I have going on, I wanted to add this one to the mix.
My husband wears these.....Seriously... worn out, holes... not to mention how difficult they are to get them to smell clean during laundering.
I've searched around and not found a true pattern that I could purchase so ..... My hopes are to remake a pattern and sew one of these up that actually fits his head. The curves are going to be my challenge I do believe.
Wish me much courage and patience for my August OMG!
P.S. Just so I can throw out all the raggedy caps!
What a great idea. I hope it goes smoother than you are anticipating.
ReplyDeleteI made something like that for my son when he was little. It wasn't too bad! Enjoy the process and good like. I look forward to seeing the finished project.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great idea. Are you going to line it or make it out of a heavier fabric? I don't think it will be all that hard. (Of course, I'm not the one who will be making it!) Here's a quick tip re laundry. You might want to get OdoBan to add to the laundry when things are smelly. (Available at Home Depot of all places.) Buy a small container in case it doesn't work on that type of smell. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your OMG!
ReplyDeleteChallenging project! Thanks for linking up with Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal and good luck with your project.
