November OMG - Pineapple Splash

I got all 25 blocks set into a real beauty! After getting it all pieced together, I have decided I Really want this quilt in a much larger size. It turned out as a twin bed size and it is calling out to me to become bigger!

Tell Me What You Think? Would You Make It Larger?

The original pattern "Star Spangled Pineapple" is by Amanda Niederhauser of Jedi Craft Girl. As you can see, I omitted the pinwheels and used a slightly off-centered setting for the pineapples. They turned out so Lovely!

I will be linking up today with Patty at Elm Street Quilts to share my Monthly Quilting Success in her One Monthly Goal setting party and with Susan at Quilt Fabrication to celebrate HER 100th Midweek Makers event! Go see all the beautiful projects shared on their links!

And I must not forget Jennifer at The Inquiring Quilter in her Wednesday Wait Loss!

  1. I say go for it! I would probably do some pineapple "tops" as borders to help upsize it. :)

  2. Adding a border of tops would definitely frame it out quite nicely! Thanks for the tip!

  3. Love it! I agree with the others - needs some borders. Maybe pineapple chunks? Thanks for sharing on Midweek Makers 100!

  5. Love the idea of borders. Hmmm. You've already gotten great suggestions. Maybe pineapple rings?

  6. I'm so glad you shared your progress on this one. I loved the first block, it's so great to see them all done. And I love how you've taken the pattern and tweaked it to make it yours. Borders are the way to go, I'm sure you'll think of something amazing, but I admit I am leaning towards the first suggestion of pineapple leaves. Very much looking forward to seeing the finished item :)
