Virtual Cookie Exchange And Christmas Blog Hop - My Day!

Carol of Just Let Me Quilt is yet again hosting this fabulous hop that includes Christmas projects and traditions, not only cookies! I'm excited to finish off the Virtual Cookie Exchange and Blog Hop where bloggers are sharing Christmas cookies recipes, traditions, and/or sewing projects. Join us in gleaning some great ideas for your holidays!

No matter the time of year, I can always enjoy these cookies. I call them wedding cookies..but heard them called by many other names....Russian Tea Cakes, Snowballs or even Pecan Balls. Just simply yummy. Here's a LINK to a popular recipe for them. Even Santa loves them at our home! I had to bake up an extra-large batch just to make sure I had enough for him.

And the sharing wouldn't be complete if I didn't show you the cookies that will keep for years to come! I hosted a sew-in day with my Mother-In-Law and we cut out fabric cookies with the pinking shears, sewed two layers together and stuffed them with scraps. A little hanger was added and the cookie ornament was stitched up completely to hang! No instructions other than that. So simple! Use your own design or follow any large cookie cutter as a template!

My holiday wish to all of you is to cherish traditions, family and time with friends. Treasure each moment and make memories. Those are moments we will hold near and dear to our hearts from year to year.

Here is the full week line up if you don't want to miss a single day of this fun week and recipe sharing this whole week!

  13. Thanks for sharing this simple and cute idea for holiday decorations and for reminding us all to cherish our time with family and friends. I love that you made the ornaments with your mother in law. My niece who is now 40 made some similar ornaments for me out of felt when she was a little girl. I still have them.
