Coziness & Satisfaction

It's March and what could be more satisfying than sipping a rich cuppa Irish Coffee in the warmth of your sewing studio and finishing up one of your Winter Works in Progress? I've been pressing to get several of my quilt tops into finished state for using or gifting and the process has been so nostalgic. It brings back the memories of times and days gone by, when and where I chose the fabric and where I was "living" at the time. I encourage you to enjoy the process of working through those otherwise overwhelming projects, take a moment to find bits that provide you peace and thoughts of happy moments. We all are in need of those serene moments during the trying times we all seem to go through in life.

REWIND: Stay At Home - I SPY Quilt from 2020

Rewinding to last year~ about the time this whole pandemic shut down was going into Full Swing! I was asking for suggestions to work on my I SPY quilt. That was eleven, yes 11 months Ago. I decided not to put efforts into blogging, still working 60+ hours a week, And Boy Do I have a lot to catch up on!

The pattern is adopted from Pat Sloan's Stay At Home Quilt 30 day quilt along challenge. If you go over to her blog's main page, you will find she is hosting yet another 30 day sew along challenge for March 2021. It is called her March Hope quilt.

Fortunately a Quilt Shop nearby- Serenity Quilt Shop, was able to stay open, have limited capacity and was renting out their longarm mac  hine. I took this opportunity to learn a little of the techniques on the longarm. I got the little one's quilt completed as well, just by using it as one of my practice peices! How exciting!

This month I will also be Rejoining Patty at Elm Street Quilts for her March OMG! Here's to a new year! May we all be blessed with health and quilting successes! My goal for March- The Red quilt needs a binding and the Floral Dresden needs about a 12” strip of binding added. Somehow I calculated way short. Eeek!still
