Pile O' Fabric

I have this pile of fabric!
I really want to get through it!
                                                       The fabric is gorgeous!
I had a blast shopping for it!

I chose a pattern called A Quilt for Claire by Emily Taylor Design.

I had a fun Solo cutting Party! Sometimes I really do love cutting fabric!

Then I had a Grand time sewing all these 2 1/2" strips together. No photo :( But they are hanging pretty as you please on my wall. There are 20 fabulous 21"x21" blocks staring back at me. They want to be squared up! They want sashing! They want binding! They want to be quilted! They want to have a lovely binding added so they can be snuggled under or covering a big country-cottage chic bed! They want to be beautiful in all their glory! They want to be treasured and loved! Alas, I need the encouragement to complete them! Wish me Luck!

  1. I love the colors you are using. You must share those blocks that are on your wall.

    1. Thanks Marsha, I'm really trying to go with a Shabby Chic Country Cottage "look". I had a request for teal to be used in the quilt and that stumped me! There aren't many fabrics I imagined that would fit the image! Did some shopping for the contemporary "chic" look and found that lovely teal Rose! I am excited over it! Pictures to come Soon for sure!

  3. You've actually already done so well, cutting and piecing your blocks! If you need the extra push you've got it from me. I would love to see a finished top. Those colors, especially that blue, just need to be made into something pretty. Please don't let them languish in the WIP bin. You can do this!
