The Glamper Sewing Room Give-Away!

I travel quite a bit for work, so to keep up with some of my desire to sew... One of the "rooms" has been turned into my little sewing world. Currently the drawers and cabinets are filled to the brim and the sofa is piled high, but I want to Glamp It Up! I am looking for suggestions - how could this room be turned into the cutest little sewing room ever?

I am thinning out my small scrap bin and cutting 2.5 " mini charms to give away. They are definately going to be scrappy! To be eligible for the give away, leave me your ideas or suggestion in the comments section and follow me at Domestic Felicity I will close out the give away on Friday, February 1st!

The Winner of the Charms go to Barbara Woods!

    1. hi Melody, I like the string curtain idea. It reminds me of some of those string flags I've been seeing at markets.

    1. I may have to round up scraps large enough for at least one bunting. Maybe some with adorable sayings on them.

  5. You need some color so pick your favorite and make a shade of that fabric. The screen prints out there now are wonderful. Since everything must be tied down buy colored containers and put some art deco up.

    1. It is always so hard to pick one favorite color, but I agree! A big splash of color would be fantastic!

  7. Oh I would take off the doors on the upper cupboard above the couch, paint them a happy colour and display beautiful fabrics and sewing nicknacks, also paint the cupboards on the opposite side. Then I would paint the walls, add a drop down table under the window.
Next, I would remove the valances and add side curtains...will make the space seem taller. Add a beautiful rug.
Then add a beautiful quilt along the back of the couch, quilted pillows and finally a sign above the window that says Dreams are Made of This.

  8. Giving the appearance of a taller space would be so fantastic! And your window sign sounds superb! I must break out my Cricut and work on yet another fun project!

  9. The window treatments are very light to let the natural light in, but they are very dreary to me. I would like some color to them. They could still be a light color or a brighter color to let the light enter. If I were you, I'd pick a color that you like and take the time to make some new window treaments to brighten the "room." The dark wood makes the "room" look darker also. I don't know if it would be impossible to paint it or not. I think it would be fun to cover the sofa with one of your lovely lighter favorite quilts that would blend with your above changes. Good luck. Anyone of the changes might be enough to make you happier. I'd take it slow and see what makes you happy without too much effort. Every time I visit, I get homesick. I was born and raised in WV and lived there until I graduated from college. Then I moved to PA for 9 months. Now I've been in OK for years. This year is my 50 year reunion from high school. I don't think that I will come back. Good luck with your change(s).

  10. I would paint the walls with a brighter, happier color. Soft pink or a light orange maybe. Thanks!
